Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana (PMAY) is the Government’s flagship initiative to address shelter problems across India. The scheme aims to provide affordable housing to economically weaker sections of society. In order to avail the PMAY benefits, beneficiaries must meet certain eligibility criteria.

To avail the PMAY benefits, applicants must register on the PMAY portal. They must provide their Aadhaar number during the registration process. Moreover, their houses must be built in the areas specified in the census 2011.
Besides providing affordable housing, the government is also aiming to make the lives of the homeless in India better. For this, the government is introducing a Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme.
